Connect your Facebook Page to receive and reply to Messenger conversations.
Facebook Messenger lets you communicate with customers directly through your Facebook Page. By connecting Messenger to SalesWhiz, you can manage all Messenger conversations alongside WhatsApp and Telegram in one unified inbox.
Messenger is especially useful for businesses with an active Facebook presence — customers can message you directly from your Page without needing a separate app.
Before connecting Messenger, ensure you have the following:
You need an active Facebook Page for your business. Personal profiles cannot receive Messenger API messages.
Required for creating a Facebook App and managing API access.
You must be an admin of the Facebook Page to generate page tokens.
Setting up Messenger integration follows a similar process to WhatsApp, since both use the Facebook platform.
Go to developers.facebook.com. You can use the same app created for WhatsApp, or create a new one.
Common Messenger integration issues and solutions:
Ensure the webhook is subscribed to the messages event. Verify the Page Token is valid and the integration is toggled ON.
Check that your app has the pages_messaging permission. Verify the Page Token has not expired.
In your Facebook App, click Add Product and select Messenger. Connect your Facebook Page.
In Messenger settings, select your Page and generate a token. Copy this token.
Go to Dashboard > Settings > Channels > Messenger. Paste your Page Token and click Save.
Copy the webhook URL from SalesWhiz and paste it in your Facebook App's Messenger webhook settings.
Subscribe to messages, messaging_postbacks, and messaging_optins webhook events.
Send a message to your Facebook Page. It should appear in your SalesWhiz Inbox.
The callback URL must be publicly accessible over HTTPS. Verify the token matches exactly.
